CHEERS TO OUR 15TH ANNIVERSARY!
Let’s get this party started

|
This year marks the 15th anniversary of Little Burgundy! We can’t begin to explain how excited we are to celebrate this milestone with all of you! In this special edition blog, take a trip down memory lane with us as we reminisce about many of our projects and proudest accomplishments.
MAGAZINES : OUR SPIRIT ON PAPER We produced more than 20 magazines highlighting local and emerging talents. It overjoys us to know that our magazine was the first project for many stylists, photographers and models who are now known internationally! We are so proud of all these editions and would like to shout out to everyone who has worked on them as well as our seasonal campaigns. We couldn’t have done it without your dedicated efforts! |

THE TRAVELER: AN LB X FRANK AND OAK COLLAB Back in October 2013, we partnered with the brand Frank and Oak to create an exclusive collection for men. Together, we launched The Traveler, a capsule collection of shoes and accessories for the modern man on the go. For the occasion, we also met with three travelers who demonstrated how important the outdoors is for them and what motivates them on their journeys. See below for videos of the campaign: |
WINDOWS: PAINTING OUT CREATIVITY For the past 15 years, our internal design team has pushed themselves to come up with various creative concepts in order to not just capture customer attention but to inspire. From Herschel ice cream cones to murals in our windows, we did it all! We look forward to continuing to surprise and amaze you with our creative displays. Here’s a quick video from when we partnered with Converse as well as three talented artists across Canada to paint our windows: |
DANCING SOLES: EVERY MOVE TELLS A STORY This is our latest project! This Winter, in collaboration with Reebok, LB cast five young dancers from across the country to enjoy a weekend of free intensive dance classes with well-known choreographer Kim Gingras! In a short period of time, they came up with this amazing dance video clip and developed a strong bond. We are still head over heels over how good this project turned out; we are so proud of the dancers! |
IS IT FESTIVAL SEASON YET? Throughout the years, we treated several store employees to international festivals like Art Basel in Miami, Vans Pipeline in Hawaii, Coachella and Osheaga in our beloved hometown Montreal. Truly, LB is the life of the party! Festival season is our favorite as we’re able to pull off our best outfits and show them to the world. |
CAMPUS TOUR : BACK TO SCHOOL WITH LB
Call us crazy but back in 2013, we revamped an entire 18-wheel truck and went to multiple university campuses to offer our best collection to students in order for them to start the year in style. When we have something in mind, like a store on wheels, we go big!

VANS X LB
In July 2014, we partnered with our friends at Vans to launch an exclusive collaboration! The Vans sneaker featured a reprint of LB’s bird emblem on a light-yellow base. We had so much fun putting the giant shoe in our window. Do you remember seeing it?

FLOYD : OUR OWN BELOVED COLLECTION Initially named Hibou, Little Burgundy’s Floyd Collection features trendy and stylish styles for men and women. It has already been three years since the full rebranding, and we love our collection more than ever. We have since produced tons of beloved footwear to satisfy all the fashionistas out there. Check out our Floyd Collection here at LB and get the fresh twist you have been looking for! |

CREATIVE MINDS: AT THE HEART OF LB
The list of creatives we have worked with is too long to imagine. We love shoes, and we equally love the opportunity to connect with so many creative minds across Canada. We’ve worked with painters, illustrators, makeup artists, 3D artists and so many more and we’ve never stopped being blown away by their originality. Shout out to everyone who worked with us on various projects over the years and gave us a peak into their creative processes!
|
GIVING BACK : COMMUNITY AT THE SOUL OF OUR IDENTITY
For the past 15 years, we have had the privilege of working with communities that we care about. We worked with creative minds who shared their unique stories. Many causes are important to us : LGBTQ+ and black community rights, better quality of living for the unhoused, indigenous support groups and non-profit organizations that support youth in need. We feel privileged being able to support them.
Check out our team in Toronto who worked together to assemble over 100 bikes to donate to kids in need as well as one of our most recent projects called My Hair is Art. |
|
KIDS We don’t like to admit it but, as time went by, we inevitably got older. Some of our employees are now parents and so are our long-time customers! To adapt to our new lives, we couldn’t resist offering kids shoes at LB! No but seriously, those mini-me versions of our best sellers are literally too cute to be true! Check out our VP of buying and her little Clementine as well as our Kids Collection. |
FOREVER THANKFUL FOR OUR LB FAMILY
We can’t reflect on the past 15 years without thanking all our employees! From the office to the stores, LB would not be the same without you! A big thank you to those who have contributed to LB’s success in the past and shaped who we are today.
Lastly, we would like to thank all our customers, whether you’ve been shopping at LB for years or you just discovered us last month! As a local retailer based in Montreal, Canada, we are proud to still be operating and growing because you believe that we have the right selection of shoes for you!
We hope that this blog inspired you and helped you to remember a few of our favorite projects. In the years ahead, we aim to keep helping communities, shining light on creative minds, and offering you the best of the best. Thank you for being so loyal to us, year after year. Love, The LB team |
