I live in Montreal and I’m the co-owner of Cafellini.
You’re a barista and entrepreneur - which passion came first?
I worked in a coffee shop for about 4 months and then with my partner, my mom, we bought the place and started our own coffee shop. That was 11 years ago.
How did the collab between Artgang and Cafellini come to be?
About a year and a half ago, we opened a second location on Beaubien and Artgang had just opened a shop on St. Hubert really close by. They became regulars and we became good friends. They told me they wanted to move one of their shops to St. Laurent and wanted to have a coffee shop in it. It all just happened. Within a couple of months, we found the new location.
How would you describe the Artgang crew?
It’s a big family. It started as a group of friends, not just a business. They wanted to create a place for their friends to come together. They’re warm, friendly people. They’re really open-minded. It’s about sharing time with friends and having a good time.
