MEET THE MOMS OF LB

We are so excited to introduce you to the Moms of LB and their Mini-Mes.

This year we are shining a light on our multitasking moms who balance work and motherhood effortlessly, all while remaining stylish in the latest footwear. Get ready to be inspired as we share some wisdom from these working moms. We also hope you love the charming photos of these duos featuring adorable matching shoes that perfectly highlight the bond between mother and child.

At work, she's our fantastic French Translator and Ecommerce Merchandiser. Writing clever taglines and making sure all of our amazing products have helpful descriptions and details. We can always count on Janie to bring yummy treats and a smile to the office. But, at home she's Eden's mommy.

When Janie isn’t working, her and Eden enjoy spending time together outside. Whether it’s a nice walk in the park, or simply blowing bubbles in the backyard. Young Eden is always happiest outdoors. We asked Janie if she could share one piece of advice for working moms.

She said, "Don’t forget to make time for yourself every day! I like to set the alarm early in the morning so I can have a coffee while everyone's still asleep. For me it's just a great way to start my day (in silence lol). I also try to do stretching sessions or go for a walk at night. Selfcare doesn't have to be expensive!"

We honestly can’t get enough of how cute Eden is. The most adorable toddler twinning with mom in matching Nikes, a stylish duo ready to conquer the playground and chase bubbles in comfort and style!

We hope Janie and Eden have the best time at brunch on Sunday and they enjoy their well-deserved relaxing weekend together.

Our Floyd collection wouldn’t be the powerhouse that it is today without Yasmeen. She’s the buyer responsible for carefully curating not only our housebrand, but our Kids collection too (how fitting). Yasmeen is quick to help out when she can and is honestly the sweetest person you’ll ever meet.

When she’s not in office seeking out the best shoe styles for LB, she’s being supermom to her beautiful children. Seeing the world through their eyes brings her so much joy. Yasmeen said, “Everything is always so new and exciting to them, it’s beautiful to witness. Reminds me to see the joy in simple moments.”

When we asked Yasmeen to share some advice for other working moms, she said,

“Quality over quantity!! We tend to feel guilty at the lack of time we spend with our children but all they care about is meaningful time spent with you, where you can unplug and focus on them and their interests. Also as important as setting time aside to do something for yourself and making sure that you are well rested, you can’t pour from an empty cup!”

Clearly little Sameer agrees with mom and is so grateful for the quality time they share, just look at the way he looks up to her. Yasmeen and Sameer are undoubtedly the coolest duo rocking their classic checkerboard Vans.

We are wishing Yasmeen an amazing mother’s day that starts off with a yummy breakfast in bed. We also hope she enjoys spending the day outdoors with the kiddos and a nice coffee.

Sarah is our merchandiser extraordinaire! If it has anything to do with product, allocation or inventory levels she has the answers. I’m sure you can imagine how busy this role leaves her, but if Sarah has an extra minute to spare she will use it to make one of us laugh.

We can only imagine how many giggles are shared between Sarah and her adorable son Thomas. Whether they are baking muffins, playing soccer with the dog, having breakfast on the couch or simply twinning in their Reebok shoes, we’re sure there are smiles and laughter heard throughout the house.

When we asked Sarah to share some advice she responded by saying,

“Stop trying to do everything, to be perfect or to be super clean. It’s okay to have a messy house some nights; your kid doesn’t care if the dishes are dirty on the counter, or the laundry isn’t folded. Take the time instead to be with your kid, he probably missed you during the day and he's not gonna stay little for a long time.”

We’re sending Sarah warm mother’s day wishes. We hope she has a wonderful time with her family and enjoys her special mother's day dinner.

We know her as our business analyst, taking care of everything from detailed reporting to finding new business opportunities. Despite carrying the weight of such a huge role at LB, Karianne is still sure to spread her kindness and contagious laugh throughout the office. At home, her responsibilities are just as great! Being Livia’s mom is no small role.

While we would love to share Karianne’s advice with you all, we decided not to disturb her. She’s currently spending time with Livia’s new baby sister, Emie. We simply cannot wait until Emie can fit into a pair of New Balances too.
